Vehicle accident slows down traffic in Mon County
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Traffic is moving at a crawl in Monongalia County as officials respond to a vehicle accident. Information is limited at this time, but a Facebook post made by the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office states that officials were on scene for a vehicle accident on I-79 southbound near exit 146. The WV511 website shows a large traffic backup on I-79 and states that the southbound left lane is closed. According to the Monongalia County 911 center, only one vehicle, a pickup truck, was involved. There have been no transports as of this publication. The Monongalia Sheriff's Office and EMS, Clinton District Volunteer Fire Department and the Triune-Halleck Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
