Vallejo police search for driver who fled after pedestrian killed in crash

Police in Vallejo are seeking the driver who fled the scene of a multiple-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian over the weekend. The incident occurred at the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Redwood Street, where emergency services were called to respond to a report of the crash early Saturday morning. Sadly, despite efforts to save her, an unidentified adult female pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The woman's identity has not been disclosed. Additionally, two others involved in the collision sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital for assessment. An initial investigation indicated that two vehicles and the pedestrian were part of the crash, with one of the drivers leaving the scene on foot before authorities arrived. The police are appealing to the public for any information that might help identify the driver who fled. This incident marks the second fatal collision investigated by Vallejo police this year. Officer Nicholas Petrie can be contacted at 707-648-4329 or [email protected] with any relevant information.
