Unreported Jefferson County crash adnits to being fatal after unspecified period
A fatal crash on Interstate 40 in Jefferson County is currently under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The incident, resulting in the death of 55-year-old Gary Sorah, occurred near the I-81 interchange. Sorah was driving a Kia Soul westbound on the inside lane of I-40 when his vehicle veered off the road, hitting a guardrail, spinning, hitting a TDOT road sign, and finally entering the woods. The crash went unnoticed for an unspecified period before being discovered by a passerby. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved, and there were no additional injuries reported.
