Two people critically injured in Volusia County crash according to FHP

A collision in Volusia County on Tuesday morning led to two individuals sustaining serious injuries, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on northbound I-95 before mile marker 268, close to State Road 40, causing traffic congestion back to mile marker 266. Following the crash, two of the persons involved were taken to Daytona Halifax Hospital. Additionally, as Volusia County EMS was en route to the scene, they were rear-ended, resulting in a series of collisions. Three individuals were hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening. Fortunately, the two EMS paramedics remained unharmed and continued their assistance at the scene, as stated by FHP.
