Two Mustang Public Schools buses involved in wreck along Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers are investigating after two Mustang Public School buses were involved in a wreck along Interstate 44 in northwest Oklahoma City Saturday morning.Open the video player above to see some of the headlines KOCO 5 is following.The wreck happened along the interstate near Northwest 32nd Street and it was reported that one of the buses struck the other bus, Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said.Mustang Public Schools officials reported that the buses were taking “intermediate choir students” to Frontier City and were involved in a “minor traffic accident” while in traffic.School officials said there were no reported injuries and that Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and Oklahoma City firefighters responded to the scene and the buses were moved to a nearby parking lot.Mustang Public Schools officials said once they are cleared by troopers, the group of students will continue to Frontier City for their scheduled field trip.“Families have been notified, and those who prefer may pick up their student at Frontier City upon arrival,” officials wrote in a statement.Get the latest news stories of interest by clicking here.District officials said a third bus transporting Horizon Intermediate students was not involved in the collision.
