Two hurt in head-on crash on near Independence
Two people from Missouri had to be flown to the hospital after a head-on crash on Highway 150 just south of Independence. An Iowa State Patrol crash report says a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old from Macon, Missouri crossed the center line and hit a semi head-on. The driver and a 35-year-old passenger from the same vehicle from Clarence, Missouri were both hurt and flown to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The names of the two people hurt have not been released. The crash remains under investigation.
