Two hospitalized after US-131 wrong-way collision
In Grand Rapids, Michigan, a driver heading the wrong way crashed into another car on US-131 early Wednesday morning. The incident occurred near Burton Street SW around 12:35 a.m., with both drivers being hospitalized. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening. The Michigan State Police reported that alcohol likely contributed to the crash. The northbound US-131 was closed for about four hours and reopened at 4:20 a.m. MSP First Lt. Mike Shaw emphasized the dangers of impaired driving and urged drivers to find alternative options rather than driving under the influence.
