Motorcycle crash under investigation in East El Paso

A 21-year-old Fort Bliss resident was killed Wednesday morning following a motorcycle crash in East El Paso. According to the El Paso Police Department, Steven Zamora died on the 1600 block of Airway Boulevard (near the El Paso International Airport) after he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle during a curve and crashed his motorcycle into a wall. The crash happened at around 12:30 a.m. EPPD said Zamora was pronounced dead at the scene and believes that speed was a contributing factor in the crash. According to police statistics, this is the 25th traffic death of 2026, compared to 31 at the same time in 2025. Zamora's motorcycle was described as a 2025 Yamaha YZF-R3.
