PSP confirm two dead after tree falls on Cumberland County campsite
MOUNT HOLLY SPRINGS- Two people are confirmed deceased after a July 4th accident at a campsite in Gardners, PA. Police are officially withholding information on the victims, but say that just before 6:30pm on Independence Day, they were called to the Mountain Creek Campground on Pine Grove Road, south of Mount Holly Springs, Dickinson Township. Pennsylvania State Police found that a tree fell onto a campsite, killing two people and injuring a third. That surviving victim is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries. PSP say that identifying information on the two victims is being withheld, pending proper notifications of victims but there are reports of both of them being from Franklin County, PA. Any official updates will come from Pennsylvania State Police and relevant authorities.
