Two dead, seven injured in Monday night Orangeburg County crash
Two people were killed and seven more were injured Monday night in an Orangeburg county collision. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 9:40 p.m. on US 15 and SC 210, which is about three miles west of Vance. Two vehicles were involved, a 2001 Toyota Camry with two occupants and 2026 Chrysler Pacifica van with seven occupants. Troopers report that the collision occurred when the van, which was travelling north on US 15, collided with the Toyota which was travelling west on SC 210, causing the Toyota to run off the road and overturn. Both the passenger and the driver of the Toyota were pronounced deceased at the scene and all seven occupants of the van were reported injured and were transported from the scene for treatment of their injuries. An update has yet to be released on the condition of the hospitalized individuals. The collision remains an active investigation with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
