Two 22-year-olds killed in solo car accident
A tragic incident occurred 10 miles north of Hill City, SD, resulting in the loss of two lives in a single-vehicle accident. The incident took place on Saturday evening at 10:12 p.m. when a 2003 Toyota 4Runner, carrying a 22-year-old woman from Sturgis and a 22-year-old man from Deadwood, rolled off US 385 near mile marker 92. Unfortunately, both occupants were ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries as a result of not wearing seatbelts. The driver of the vehicle is unknown, and the names of the individuals involved have not been disclosed until their families are notified. Authorities are currently investigating the crash.
