Two 21-year-olds die in single-car accident in Worcester County
A car accident in Barre, Massachusetts early Thursday morning resulted in two fatalities and one person sustaining serious injuries. The crash, which was a single-car collision on Hubbardston Road (Route 62) at around 4 a.m., left two individuals deceased and one individual in critical condition. Emergency responders found the victims in the vehicle when they arrived on the scene. The injured person was taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not revealed the identities of the deceased, but stated they were both 21 years old. The road was closed for several hours for investigation and eventually reopened around 11 a.m. Investigators are working to determine the cause of the accident. "Our condolences go out to the families and friends impacted by this tragic event," Barre police shared on social media.
