Troopers investigate fatal early-morning wreck in Upstate
South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal collision this morning in Greenville County, South Carolina.The crash occurred on North Main Street near Kenwood Lane at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, officials reportedThe Greenville County Police Department say they attempted to stop the vehicle for driving recklessly at the intersection of N Main St and E Stone Ave.When the officer activated their blue lights, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.Officers say they did not initiate a chase due to the reckless behavior of the driver.Troopers say the driver of the vehicle ran off the road and hit a brick wall after fleeing the traffic stop.The Greenville County Coroner's Office has identified the driver as 22-year-old David Hernandez.
