Troopers asking for public’s help identifying 2 killed in Guilford County head-on crash
GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) -- Troopers are working to identify two people who were killed in a head-on crash in Guilford County on Saturday, according to a North Carolina State Highway Patrol news release. Around 8:37 p.m., troopers responded to a crash on US 29 near Reedy Fork Parkway. Troopers say a gray Honda Odyssey was going the wrong way on US 29 when it crashed head-on with a Black Infiniti SUV. The driver and passenger of the Honda Odyssey were pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say their identities are still unknown due to a fire after the crash. The driver of the Infiniti was taken to a hospital with severe injuries. Troopers are actively working to identify the driver and passenger of the Honda Odyssey. Anyone with information that could help identify them or who may have seen the Odyssey going the wrong way before the crash is encouraged to contact the NC State Highway Patrol by dialing *HP(47).
