Trinity ISD student dead, 1 seriously injured after fatal crash
TRINITY, Texas (KETK) - The Trinity Independent School District said one of their students was killed in a car crash that left another student with serious injuries. In a statement shared by Trinity ISD Superintendent John Kaufman on Saturday night, the district confirmed that a Trinity ISD high school student died in the crash. The district also said a Trinity ISD middle schooler was seriously injured in the crash and had to be airlifted for medical treatment. "This is an incredibly difficult time for our students, staff, and families. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, as well as all who are impacted by this loss," Kaufman said on Saturday. "We are currently working to develop a comprehensive plan to support both students and staff on Monday. As soon as those details are finalized, we will share them with you." The Trinity County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash, which is currently under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
