On the evening of November 26, 2025, a tragic incident occurred at the Chestnut Grove footpath crossing in Nottinghamshire, between Lowdham and Burton Joyce stations, where a young individual was struck and fatally injured by a passing train. The train was traveling at approximately 60 mph at the time of the accident.
