Tragic crash in Box Elder County results in death of 22-year-old driver
In Box Elder County, Utah, a tragic crash occurred early on Thursday morning resulting in the death of a 22-year-old man. The Utah Highway Patrol reported that at around 1:58 a.m., a white Hyundai Elantra was seen speeding south on I-15 without its lights on. The vehicle was later found crashed on the right shoulder just north of mile marker 360, with the driver sustaining fatal injuries. Initial findings suggest that the man may have struck the back of a semi-truck in the far-right lane, although the truck did not stop at the scene. The semi-truck driver later contacted authorities and has been located in the Ogden area. The incident is currently under investigation by law enforcement to uncover all the details surrounding the tragedy.
