Traffic delays in western Pennsylvania due to multi-vehicle collision on I-80
A collision involving multiple vehicles on I-80 in Clarion County is currently leading to significant traffic congestion and road restrictions implemented by PennDOT. The incident occurred on the eastbound side of I-80 close to Exit 60: PA 66 North- Shippenville, causing traffic to be redirected off the highway. At present, there is no specified timeframe for when normal traffic flow will resume. While specific details on the crash are limited, PennDOT has imposed restrictions on a stretch of I-80 spanning from the DuBois area to the Ohio state line, with speed limits reduced to 45 miles per hour for all vehicles and commercial vehicles instructed to remain in the right lane. During winter storms, it’s advisable to avoid unnecessary travel for safety. In the event of encountering snow squalls or drifting snow, it is important to exercise caution as roads may be icy, especially on bridges and ramps.
