Traffic delayed on I-84 due to fatal accident involving two vehicles

The Idaho State Police are currently dealing with a serious two-vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 near milepost 40, close to Ten Mile and Robinson Rd. The accident has resulted in a fatality and has caused significant traffic congestion in the Treasure Valley area, affecting commuters trying to find alternate routes. Travel times between Downtown Boise and Meridian are currently estimated at 65 minutes, while travel times between Boise and Caldwell are around 81 minutes. Drivers are advised by law enforcement officials to drive cautiously, be attentive, and allow emergency responders sufficient space to carry out their duties. If possible, motorists are encouraged to take a different route and should anticipate delays while passing through the affected area. Following a 3-hour closure, the westbound lanes of the interstate have now reopened.
