TRAFFIC ALERTS: I-480 crash snarls traffic near Valley View bridge
GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) -- A crash on Interstate 480 East jammed up traffic for miles near the Valley View bridge on Friday morning. The Ohio Department of Transportation just after 8 a.m. on Friday, May 22, reported the left lane is blocked beyond Transportation Boulevard and East 98th Street. The scene was cleared before 9:30 a.m. FOX 8 News learned the crash involved a paint truck. It happened near the Granger Road exit. Crews were seen removing yellow paint from the roadside. Earlier in the day, the right two lanes were blocked on Interstate 71 North were blocked just before West 25th Street for a disabled vehicle, according to ODOT. ODOT traffic cameras showed traffic getting clogging up just before the exit. SkyFOX just after 6 a.m. reported the scene had been cleared and traffic was beginning to move again. FOX 8 News reported fire trucks were at the scene.
