TRAFFIC ALERT: Pony Express Parkway closed at 800 W due to crash
SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (ABC4) — Three people were injured, including two juveniles and an adult female who was airlifted, in a crash on Pony Express Parkway. There is a crash at Pony Express Parkway and Mountain View Corridor (800 W) in Saratoga Springs. Local police have described it as a major accident. Saratoga Springs Police Department say all directions are currently blocked. Travelers should avoid the area, take alternate routes if possible, and expect heavy delays. According to Saratoga Springs Police Department, an eastbound semi-truck collided with a northbound passenger vehicle inside of the intersection. The passenger vehicle had five occupants inside of it, including an adult woman and four juveniles. The adult female was seriously injured and was life-flighted to the hospital in serious condition. Additionally, two juveniles, a 13-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Their conditions are currently unknown. The other two juveniles were not injured and were picked up by their father. The semi-truck driver was also not injured and is cooperating with officers. The Major Accident Reconstruction Team is on-scene, and the road will be closed for at least one to two more hours. At this time, no more information has been released.
