Three people hurt, one critically, in multi-car accident in Joliet.
In Joliet, Illinois, a multi-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday evening at the North Broadway Street and Ingalls Avenue intersection, resulting in three individuals being harmed. One of them sustained severe injuries. Joliet police reported to the scene just before 7 p.m. following the crash report. A preliminary analysis revealed that a 31-year-old driver from Lockport, operating a Honda CR-V, lost control while traveling north on N. Broadway St., crossing into incoming southbound traffic. The CR-V collided with a Honda HR-V driven by a 23-year-old from Plainfield, then hit a Ford Focus and an Audi e-tron driving in the southbound direction. After impacting the three vehicles, the CR-V veered off the road and came to a stop in the 1200 block of N. Broadway St. Emergency services transported the CR-V driver to St. Joseph Medical Center with severe injuries, and the Ford Focus driver was extricated from the vehicle and airlifted to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with critical injuries. The HR-V driver was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center with minor injuries. The Audi e-tron driver declined medical assistance. The incident is currently being investigated, and individuals with any relevant information or video recordings are urged to contact the Joliet Police Department Traffic Unit at 815-724-3010.
