Three injured after two-vehicle crash on South Quay Road in Suffolk
SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- Three people were injured after a two-vehicle crash on South Quay Road in Suffolk Saturday morning, according to the City of Suffolk's Department of Fire & Rescue. On April 11 at around 9:37 a.m., the department and Suffolk Police responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a pin in the 7000 block of South Quay Road. Engine 7 arrived to the scene at 9:43 a.m., finding one vehicle on fire with one person pinned. Firefighters extinguished the fire while a paramedic and AEMT provided advanced life support medical care to three people who were left with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance airlifted one person, flying them to a trauma center. The two remaining people were transported on the ground to a local hospital.
