Three hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash closed Interstate 670 West near Downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Three people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash just east of Downtown, Columbus on Wednesday morning. According to Columbus police, three people sustained unspecified injuries during a crash on Interstate 670 West, near the Joyce Avenue overpass, in the Devon Triangle area of Columbus, east Downtown and the I-71 interchange. Police said the crash occurred at around 8:45 a.m. and involved an unknown number of vehicles. It was later confirmed that one adult was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, one child suffered critical injuries and a second adult is in stable condition. All lanes on I-670 West were closed while CPD cut off access to the interstate as far back as the I-270 interchange by the John Glenn International Airport.
