Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash at west Las Vegas intersection: Police
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene at a west Las Vegas intersection, according to police. The crash happened around 1:21 a.m. near West Flamingo Road and El Capitan Way. Police said a pedestrian, who was crossing at the intersection, was hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the accident and left the scene, leaving the pedestrian dead on the road. The intersection has been blocked off while Fatal Team is investigating the incident. It is expected to remain closed for hours. As of 5:30 a.m., the road is still closed.
