3 ID'd in deadly Prince George's County crash involving motorcycle
Authorities have released the names of three people who were killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and two cars late Tuesday night in the Adelphi area of Prince George's County , Maryland. According to the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD), officers were called around 11:25 p.m. to the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Metzerott Road for a three-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. RELATED | 3 killed in Prince George's County crash involving motorcycle The motorcyclist, identified as Elvin Martinez Hernandez, 22, of Hyattsville, died at the scene, police said. The driver and passenger in another vehicle, identified as Reddick Speight, 61, and Terri Stringfellow, 62, both of Adelphi, were also pronounced dead at the scene. Two people in a third vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital, and are expected to survive, police said. According to police, the preliminary investigation reveals that the motorcycle and one of the involved vehicles were traveling north on New Hampshire Avenue approaching Metzerott Road when, for reasons now under investigation, a third involved vehicle, which was attempting to make a left turn onto Metzerott Road, collided with them. Area roads were closed for several hours but reopened just before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
