Thanksgiving crash in Allegan County: 1 dead, 4 injured
A tragic accident occurred in Allegan County on Thanksgiving, resulting in a fatality. The crash took place when a passenger vehicle collided head-on with a pickup truck on 142nd Avenue near 41st Street in Overisel Township. The front seat passenger of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver sustained minor injuries. Two other passengers, a woman and a 14-month-old child, were hospitalized with the woman in critical condition and the child in stable condition. Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck was unharmed, although the passenger required medical attention. Witnesses, including a man named Paul Marlink, described the incident as devastating. Marlink and others present tried to assist until emergency services arrived. The initial investigation indicates that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
