Teen driver faces charges after fatal crash in Santa Fe County
A 16-year-old teen has been charged in connection with a fatal crash that occurred March 7 in Santa Fe County.A spokesperson with the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle was traveling near the intersection of Southfork and Cedar Road when the driver was unable to negotiate a curve and crashed. A 15-year-old was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.The 16-year-old driver was charged with homicide by vehicle and possession of open containers in a vehicle. Additional charges could be filed.
