Law enforcement officials in Sonoma County have detained a young driver over their involvement in a hit-and-run incident where a pedestrian lost their life during the Thanksgiving weekend. The collision occurred at the junction of Snyder Lane and Capri Lane on Friday evening, with emergency services reaching the site quickly. Although attempts were made to save the pedestrian, unfortunately, their injuries proved fatal. The victim's identity has not been disclosed by the authorities. Following an investigation, law enforcement officers were able to trace the 17-year-old male suspect in Sonoma County. The teenager was located in Petaluma, and on the subsequent day, he was apprehended and taken into custody on charges of vehicular manslaughter and fleeing the scene of the accident resulting in death, both considered as felonies.
