Teen arrested for fatal Hillsborough crash weeks later

A teenager from Mulberry in Florida is currently in custody after authorities accused him of causing a fatal crash and then leaving the scene. Anthony Patrick Stewart, aged 19, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol and booked into a detention facility in Hillsborough County over the weekend. The incident took place on the evening of December 6 on Interstate 4 near 50th Street. After Stewart's pickup truck collided with another vehicle, he left the scene of the crash, which resulted in the death of Todd Quinzi, 62. According to investigators, Stewart had been drinking before the collision, with tests showing his blood-alcohol content was above the legal limit. Stewart was taken back to the crash site by a driver who confronted him about leaving the scene. He is now facing charges related to DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a deadly accident. The victim, Quinzi, is remembered as a father, teacher, and coach, known for his integrity and kindness.
