Tanker truck crash on I-76 in Akron
AKRON, Ohio (WJW) - Crews responded to a crash in Akron that shut down part of Interstate 76 on Thursday night. The Summit County Sheriff's Office took to Facebook around 9 p.m., confirming that I-76 westbound was closed near S. Arlington Road "due to an accident involving a tanker truck." The crash was also reported by the Ohio Department of Transportation, which stated that all westbound lanes were blocked. The scene has since been cleared. It is unclear at this time what led to the crash or if there were any injuries.
