One-year-old girl killed in car crash on rural property near Aumsville
Just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, a car crash led to the death of a one-year-old girl near Aumsville. The Marion County Sheriff's Office received a report on May 30 around 7:52 p.m. of a vehicle-pedestrian crash involved a one-year-old on a rural private property near Aumsville. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies and emergency responders are investigating. "This is a heartbreaking incident, and our thoughts and condolences are with the child's family and all those affected," the spokesperson said in a statement. Authorities did not clarify whether the driver and the girl knew each other, or what specifically happened at the time of the crash. Nothing further has been provided from authorities at this time.
