Suspects arrested in two L.A. hit-and-run cases; search for suspect in third incident
Authorities in Los Angeles have recently made arrests in two separate fatal hit-and-run cases that occurred earlier this year. Additionally, they provided details on an ongoing investigation regarding a fatal hit-and-run from earlier this month where the suspect has not yet been apprehended. In one of the incidents, which happened on March 18, a 4-year-old child named Ma’Cya Clark lost his life in a high-speed crash in the Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw neighborhood. The vehicle involved was an Infiniti SUV driven by a woman who allegedly fled the scene after the crash, leaving the child and his mother behind in the wrecked vehicle. The driver, Shanae Glover, was later arrested, along with Ma'Cya's mother, Dania Wilson. The police shared that the incident may have involved a suspected street race. In another incident on July 5, a man named Emerson Gonzalez Escobar died in a hit-and-run collision, and the driver, Cierra Denae Whitaker, was apprehended in Atlanta after attempting to evade capture. A third hit-and-run from December 10 is still under investigation, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward. In all these cases, loved ones of the victims are pleading for the individuals responsible to turn themselves in.
