Suspected DUI driver arrested after hit-and-run crash on I-5
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities responded to a hit-and-run crash that happened on the I-5 near Camp Pendleton early Sunday evening. California Highway Patrol said that the 19-year-old driver of a Dodge Charger appeared to be changing her tire on the side of the road when she was struck by another driver in a Nissan Titan. CHP said that the driver then allegedly fled the scene but was later located and arrested for a suspected DUI hit-and-run. The victim was life-flighted to Scripps La Jolla with head injuries and multiple broken bones, according to officials.
