Suspect in hit-and-run apprehended following fatal Oregon highway collision
A fatal crash occurred in Umatilla County early Monday morning, leading to the death of Breann Hailey Mayberry, 31. Oregon State Police discovered Mayberry on the northbound shoulder of Highway 395 near milepost 2 around 6 a.m. A white commercial vehicle was suspected to be involved in the collision and had left the scene. A white Freightliner with matching damage was seized at the crash site, and Timothy Alvin Brown, 66, from Yakima, Washington, was taken into custody and charged with failure to assist a seriously injured person.
