One dead after accident in Parke County
ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— UPDATE: According to Sheriff Frazier, a 71-year-old man from Rockville has been killed in the accident. Frazier said that CPR was administered to the man and he was transported from the scene to Union Hospital in Clinton, Indiana, where he was later pronounced dead. A truck traveling along U.S. 36 ran off the roadway Wednesday and into a body of water, resulting in the road being closed. According to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, deputies are currently on the scene after he said a truck was traveling west along the highway before running off the road into Little Raccoon Creek three and a half miles east of Rockville. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, both lanes of U.S. 36 are closed near County Road 350 East. The sheriff's office asks the public to please seek an alternate route while the situation is being dealt with.
