Suspect in deadly 2024 Alcoa crash formally charged by grand jury
In Knoxville, Tennessee, a Blount County Grand Jury recently issued an indictment in relation to a fatal collision that took the life of a 19-year-old woman in Alcoa last year. District Attorney General Ryan Desmond revealed that Maddox Forsythe has been accused of criminal homicide, theft, and fleeing the scene of the accident that resulted in the death of Madison Hoese. The incident occurred in March 2024 when Forsythe and Sebastian Jones, who were both 16 years old at the time, were involved in a collision at the intersection of Lincoln Road and Hall Road. The two teenagers were in a stolen pickup truck that allegedly ran a red light and struck Hoese's vehicle. Court records suggest that the driver of the truck was under the influence and had reportedly escaped from a juvenile facility under the Department of Children’s Services. Jones, who is also facing charges for criminal homicide, theft, and leaving the scene of the crash, had his case moved to the adult court system earlier this year.
