State troopers identify victim in crash with 3 vehicles
The victim in a fatal collision in Spartanburg County has been identified by the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office. The incident occurred before 7:45 a.m. on Friday on Highway 9 near Brannon Circle. The collision involved an SUV turning onto Highway 9 from Brannon Circle and being struck by a vehicle, leading to a subsequent collision with another vehicle. Unfortunately, 41-year-old Jose "Poncho" Ocampo, a passenger in the SUV, lost his life in the crash. Other individuals from all three vehicles sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
