Skydiver killed, another hospitalized after mid-air collision in eastern Washington
One person was killed and another was hospitalized after a mid-air collision during a skydiving incident in eastern Washington on Sunday evening, the Adams County Sheriff's Office (ACSO) said. Around 5:37 p.m., Adams County Dispatch received a medical emergency call in the 2000 block of E. Schoessler Road, just north of Ritzville. It was reported that two skydivers needed medical attention, prompting emergency services to respond. Once at the scene, deputies learned of a mid-air collision resulting in one of the skydivers dying and the second sustaining injuries that required additional treatment at a medical facility, ACSO said. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear at this time. Deputies are investigating the incident and the deceased skydiver was taken into the care of the Adams County Coroners' Office.
