Six people hurt in accident close to Exit 24
A fatal two-car collision occurred on the Thruway at Exit 24 in Albany, New York. One person was killed, and multiple individuals were transported to the hospital after the incident on Monday evening. New York State Police reported that the crash was caused when a vehicle entering the Thruway blocked the path of another vehicle, leading to the collision. The car that entered from the ramp had two adults and three children, with the driver fatally injured and the others taken to Albany Medical Center. The second car had four adults, all of whom were also taken to Albany Med. Traffic on I-87 northbound was diverted but is gradually returning to normal. The investigation is ongoing, and the deceased individual's name will not be released until their next of kin is informed.
