Shawano man identified in fatal Highway 57 crash in Chilton
CHILTON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Calumet County Sheriff's Office has identified the man killed in a crash Monday at the intersection of State Highway 57 and County Highway PP in the Town of Chilton. Authorities said 39-year-old Tyler Polum of Shawano died in the collision. According to a preliminary investigation, Polum was traveling westbound on County Highway PP and had stopped at a stop sign. A 72-year-old Luxemburg man was driving a dump truck southbound on State Highway 57 when Polum reportedly entered the intersection into the truck’s path. Polum was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
