Setting bail for suspect in crash that killed Omaha woman
Bond has been established for the individual charged with causing a fatal accident through reckless driving. The tragic event occurred on Nov. 6 near Kanesville Boulevard and Eighth Street in Council Bluffs. The victim, Heidi Divis, was struck by a vehicle operated by 72-year-old Dennis Stark as she crossed Kanesville against the pedestrian signal. Subsequent investigations revealed that Stark had a blood alcohol content of 0.127 and traces of marijuana in his system at the time of the incident. A judge has determined that Stark's bond will be 10% of $25,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 7.
