Serious motor vehicle crash, Flight for Life and MCAT respond: Pleasant Prairie Police Department

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) - The Pleasant Prairie Police Department along with Fire and Rescue responded to a motor vehicle crash scene labeled as 'serious' earlier on Friday, June 19. Officers arrived at the incident, which occurred at the intersection of State Highway 165 and Sheridan Road in Pleasant Prairie. Upon first glance, it was reported that two vehicle sustained heavy damage, with a large field of debris scattered around the area. Preliminary investigation reveals that one vehicle was traveling southbound on Sheridan Road when a northbound vehicle attempted to turn to go west on State Highway 165, resulting in a collision. Impairment and speed do not appear to be contributing factors. Three individuals were listed as injured, raining from minor to serious. One of the drivers was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital. The other driver and a passenger were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Due to the severity of the crash, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team responded to assist with the investigation. The Pleasant Prairie Police Department wants to remind all motorists of the importance of wearing seatbelts while traveling in a vehicle. Pleasant Prairie is located outside of Kenosha, near the southern Wisconsin border. No further information was provided.
