Serious injuries reported, road closures in effect after crash in Burlington
BURLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Serious injuries were reported, and a portion of Route 4 is closed in Burlington due to a crash Friday evening, according to state police. According to the Connecticut Department of Transportation, the crash involved a tractor-trailer and was reported around 4:57 p.m. Connecticut State Police confirmed that there are serious injuries as a result of the crash. Route 4 is closed in both directions at Punch Brook Road, according to CTDOT. Connecticut State Police said the crash occurred on Punch Brook Road. No further information has been released at this time.
