Serious injuries reported in I-27 wrong-way driver crash
LUBBOCK, Texas -- A collision with serious injuries has been reported in the area of the 6500 block of I-27. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. According to the Lubbock Police Department, officers originally responded at approximately 7:23 p.m. or a report of an accident with injuries. Initial reports showed that a driver was traveling south in the northbound lanes when it collided with two other vehicles. According to LPD, at least three people have suffered serious injuries in the collision. Northbound lanes are closed to traffic beginning at 82nd Street, as well as the flyover for eastbound traffic to go northbound on the Interstate is also closed.
