Serious Injuries in Winter Haven Ambulance Collision
Two individuals are in critical condition following a collision between an ambulance and a Ford 450 truck in Haines City, Florida. The incident occurred on SR-544 at around 8:35 p.m. on Monday. Authorities were alerted to the crash after the ambulance, driven by Eryn Orduna and carrying paramedic John Parris and a patient, was hit by a black Ford 450 truck pulling a trailer at high speed as it crossed an intersection with a red light. Parris and the patient sustained critical injuries, with Parris being thrown from his seat during the impact. Both were hospitalized in critical condition. Orduna and the truck driver, John Baez, were also taken to the hospital but are reported to be in stable condition. The crash is currently under investigation by the sheriff's office.
