Serious injuries for rider in NC Highway 24 motorcycle crash

An accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV took place this afternoon on NC Highway 24 in Carteret County, North Carolina. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after being hit by the SUV, which was attempting to turn onto Bay Drive around 12:30 p.m. The injured rider was flown to ECU Health Greenville for treatment, while the SUV driver was unharmed. The State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
