Serious crash involving overturned semi near Rockton
ROCKTON TOWNSHIP, Ill. (WTVO) — The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a serious crash involving an overturned semi near Rockton on Wednesday morning. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 75 (Freeport Road) and Owen Center Road prior to 9:50 a.m. The trailer could be seen lying on its side with its payload scattered across a nearby field, and at least one sedan suffered driver's side damage and airbag deployment. According to scanner traffic, at least one person was taken to the hospital. Police diverted traffic at Gummow Road and also at Rockton Road as investigators worked the scene. DEVELOPING...
