Serious crash causes closure of Belleview Ave near University Blvd
DENVER (KDVR) -- Police are on the scene of a serious crash near Cherry Hills Village and Greenwood Village on Monday afternoon. The Greenwood Village government said in a post just after noon that police were investigating a crash with injury at East Belleview Avenue and South Franklin Street, closing all lanes of Belleview Avenue west of University Boulevard. The agency asked the public to avoid the area and said Greenwood Village police, Cherry Hills Village police and South Metro Fire Rescue were on the scene. CHVPD said Belleview Avenue is expected to be closed for several hours and asked drivers to use an alternate route. FOX31 is working to gather more information and this article will be updated.
