Second Texas teen passes away following sled accident, according to family
In a tragic incident in Frisco, Texas, a second teen, Grace Brito, known as Gracie, has passed away following a sledding accident that also claimed the life of her friend, Elizabeth Angle, known as Lizzie. The girls were on a sled attached to a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 16-year-old boy when it hit a curb and collided with a tree. Despite efforts by emergency responders, Angle died soon after the accident, while Brito was left critically injured and placed on life support until she died Tuesday night. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation, with support from the Denton County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed. Additionally, there have been other recent winter weather tragedies in North Texas, including the deaths of three young brothers who drowned after falling through the ice on a pond near Bonham. Officials are urging caution during these wintry conditions, advising residents to stay indoors whenever possible and minimize outdoor activities due to hazardous snow and ice conditions.
